English in social situations, this course is intended for groups of 6 to 12

The course lasts one week and is

Each course is planned separately. A typical programme might include:
Sunday: Arrive Gatwick * visit Winston Churchill's house at Chartwell- with

richest in all England for connections with famous people and events). A walk along the beautiful Leas- a spacious grassy

visited relatives). It has a magical walled garden. Then to Canterbury for a tour of the most important Cathedral in

explore Folkestone- the harbour and the East Cliff.
Thursday: A big day out going across Romney Marsh (below sea level and full of sheep
and old churches) to Sissinghurst (the pride of National Trust gardens ) or to Rye (like stepping back into Shakespeare's
time).
Friday: A breezy walk on the White Cliffs of Dover with views of the Castle (and of
France). Then on to Deal- good for fish and chips- and also where Nelson had a scandalous love affair with Lady Hamilton.
